I am a caregiver, advocate, and founder of Clouds of Compassion Coalition Corporation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the healthcare experience for elderly patients and veterans.

My journey into this work began at home—with the privilege of caring for both of my aging parents. With the support of private caregivers and a deep personal commitment, I was able to keep them in the comfort of their home. It was a path filled with laughter, love, and hardship—moments tending to my father’s Dove field and citrus groves became just as important as navigating his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. At the same time, I supported my mother through her battle with COPD, witnessing firsthand the daily courage it takes to live with chronic illness.

At Clouds of Compassion, we believe in the power of community and the strength of the human spirit. One shining example of this belief is the incredible journey of Pam and Chuck, a remarkable couple from Lake County, Florida, whose unwavering commitment to their family has inspired us all.

Chuck, a Navy veteran, embodies dedication and resilience. His wife, Pam, is a compassionate nurse at a local nursing facility, devoted not just to her patients but also to her family. Together, they have created a warm and loving home after adopting and caring for two beautiful boys who entered this world facing significant health challenges due to a lack of prenatal care from a mother battling addictions. Both boys were born prematurely; the oldest required NICU care with lung issues and an apnea monitor, while a social worker’s diligence ensured the brothers were united and adopted by Pam and Chuck, who embraced the opportunity to give them a loving home.

At Clouds of Compassion, we believe in the power of community and the profound impact we can make in the lives of those who have served our country. We are especially grateful for the sacrifices of our veterans, whose dedication has granted us freedoms we often take for granted. One such veteran is Chris, a remarkable individual whose journey inspires us all.

Chris, a brave veteran who battles the effects of PTSD, has turned his life experiences into a mission of healing and support for others. Chris founded Reel Healing Outdoors, a guided fishing company dedicated to helping fellow veterans find solace and camaraderie through surf fishing on the beautiful beaches of Florida. This initiative not only enables Chris to share his passion for the outdoors but also provides a safe space for veterans to connect, heal, and share their stories.

Meet Kyle, a 54-year-old U.S. Army veteran whose life has been a testament to resilience in the face of adversity. For 35 years, Kyle battled with alcoholism–a struggle that not only affected his health but also strained his relationships and clouded his decision-making. Despite these challenges, those who know Kyle describe him as one of the kindest and most genuine souls, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.

Alcohol was a constant presence in my life, creating a false sense of security that I believed I couldn’t live without.

After decades of hardship, Kyle reached a pivotal moment. He recognized that the time for change had come. He was ready to reclaim his life and embrace a brighter future.
